James 5:16 "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
Prayer is the foundation of the relationship we have with Christ. In prayer we are able to communicate with Him, strengthening our reliance on Him. It is true that each of us can express our own personal prayers. But there is power in knowing that someone else is praying for our needs that goes beyond words. The prayer team is devoted to promoting the importance of prayer in the church. The Roots Community Church offers those attending service the change to seek prayer for themselves, to pray for the concerns they have for others, or to share in the giving thanks for God's blessings to them.
